Laundry Attendant

We are currently hiring for a full-time Laundry Attendant.

MUST BE AVAILABLE AND WILLING TO WORK WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS

Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, this position assists in the processing of soiled linen on a daily basis and maintains the laundry area in a clean and orderly basis.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential Functions:

  • Sorts linen for rooms, food & beverage, golf, recreation
  • Loads soiled linen into washer and washes according to procedures.
  • Loads dryer and dries clean linen according to standards.
  • Knows the operating unction of the laundry machines.
  • Removes lint from dryer lint traps once daily.
  • Runs clean linen though ironer.
  • Folds towels and other bath linens by hand.
  • Places folded linen on marked shelves and loads housekeeping buggies for aides.
  • Ensures certain washers are in use before taking breaks to augment efficiency.
  • Assists Aides, Room Attendant and Public Space Attendants when needed.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms’ climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
