Public Area Attendant – Unicoi State Park & Lodge

About the Role

As a Public Area Attendant, you’ll help create the first impression guests experience when they step into Unicoi State Park & Lodge. Working under the guidance of the Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Supervisor, you’ll ensure that our lodge, lobby, conference center, and public spaces stay clean, safe, and inviting.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare your housekeeping cart with all necessary supplies before starting your shift

• Keep the lobby, conference center, and resort entrances clean, tidy, and guest-ready

• Clean windows, glass doors, floors, carpets, and furniture

• Empty trash, dust surfaces (high and low), and maintain restrooms and locker rooms

• Restock supplies and assist with room cleaning when needed

• Report maintenance issues promptly

• Follow Lost & Found procedures and ensure all areas are free of debris—including under furniture

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Six months of related experience is helpful, but we’ll train the right person

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic point-of-sale systems

Physical Requirements

This role is active and hands-on. You should be able to:

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout your shift

• Lift or move up to 50 lbs

• Work around cleaning chemicals, moving equipment, and moderate noise
