Seeking High-Performance Chief Financial Officer/Finance Leader (Hospitality, Private Equity Investment and Services)



The Relationship: As Chief Financial Officer, you will become a key partner in developing, monitoring, governing and evaluating the overall corporate strategy, planning & analysis with a focus on bottom line financial and operating performance, while enhancing investor, shareholder & stakeholder value. Governing real estate asset investment, portfolio company financial reporting, accounting and budgeting will be a primary focus. The role also includes a heavy focus on Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, Strategic Initiatives including analytics, predictive modeling and strategic planning focused on value-add and development of hospitality investment assets during a period of growth and expansion.

This position will report to the President of Coral Hospitality.


Possessing Hospitality Operations, Management and Investment experience to evolve the finance and accounting functions (collaboration, people, technology and processes) will help us scale the organization and reach our long-term strategic goals. The ideal resource for this role would align well with the below set of objectives and skills:

  1. Conduct financial models and inform Executive Committee and other stakeholders on investment decisions using finance tools that include but are not limited to IRR, ROI, NPV, DCF, ratio analysis, sensitivity analysis and decision tree analysis
  2. Develop and direct financial plans to deliver the strategic business plan, company growth and market opportunities and direction
  3. Define the financial strategy and provide useful financial insights to help make the best decisions about executing our business strategy, establish and maintain stable cash flow management policies and procedures, and ensure cash resources are available for daily operations
  4. Maintain executive responsibility for financial operations and reporting including; working capital, capital expenditures, debt levels, taxes, budgeting and general accounting. Manage processes for and maintain excellent knowledge of financial forecasting, budgets and consolidations, planning and analysis for all assets, owned or 3rd party managed, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  5. Set up and/or oversee all financial and operational controls and metrics within the organization, Review and prepare financial reports and month-end closing for centralized accounting clients. Report financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances and developing action plans
  6. Assist in contract review and audit liaison
  7. Analyze current and future business operations and plans to determine financial effectiveness
  8. Exception verbal, written and visual communication skills
  9. Manage/develop exceptional relationships with clients, investors, shareholders, outside lending/equity partners and colleagues
  10. Prepare and file federal, state, third-party and other financial reports to ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC, IRS and other taxing/regulatory entity requirements
  11. Build, lead and direct the finance and accounting team
  12. Manage IT systems of Accounting, Finance and HR, including Great Plains/Business Central
  13. Excellent/Expert level of Excel, MS Word, Intermediate level for PowerPoint required, some knowledge of SQL database programming language preferred
  14. Mentoring of staff, assessment of professional training needs, and assisting with the enhancement of workforce development
  15. Ensure compliance with company’s policies and legal regulations
  16. Other projects/assignments as required

Requirements:

Financial Planning and Strategy, Managing Profitability, Quality Management, Promoting Process Improvement, Forecasting, Developing Budgets, Financial Skills, Dealing with Complexity, Multi-Property Accounting.

  1. Knowledge of finance, operations and GAAP accounting
  2. Minimum of 10 years of relevant, progressive experience
  3. Prior Corporate/Management Company Experience
  4. Knowledge of Hospitality and Association Finance and Operations
